Mayra's Itty Bitty Canvas Show

I've painted 4 itty bitty legs for Mayra (Monkeyhouse in Silverlake). They were first done for Sandra at Cactus. I have only two left from that show I'm saving them for my daughter. Then for Martha she still has some of the second series. Now for Mayra, I hope you like them. xxxxxxxxx0000000000

One of the 20 odd collaboration pieces done by Susan Weber, Walt Hall and myself! What a fun show. We are looking for a venue to showcase these pieces. :0)

SkulZ The October show of the Year!!!!!

review for ArtSlant
Celebrate Life!

Skulz
Cactus Gallery
4534 Eagle Rock Blvd., Eagle Rock, CA 90041
October 11, 2008 - October 25, 2008

This show boasts cute funny skulls, scary clown skulls, and beautiful ornate skulls. Cactus Gallery has always invited artists from all walks of life to be a part of their eclectic art scene. This is what makes their shows so fascinating. From fine art, folk art to lowbrow your sure to see something that speaks to you. Not only will you see a wide range of art but you will enjoy music, films and libations. This is not only an art show but a "celebration of life"!

Notes form the Gallery:SKULLZ is a huge group show featuring oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and wood, 3D works, mixed media works, photography, printmaking, an altar installation and candies!!

Skulls are seen as icons and emblems of death; reminders to lead a moral life. More recently, skulls have taken on a pop importance as symbols of recklessness, piracy and teenage angst. COME CELEBRATE LIFE !!
