63 Bluxome Street Gallery

This series is now officially sold. Thank you to Clam at Bluxome Street Gallery, San Francisco who sold the middle 6 last month. Also to Stephen at ARTery for selling the two big ones. Mostly thank you to Sandra from Cactus Gallery for giving me the inspiration and opportunity to create and exhibit them. Oh and for selling the first 6 "Peep Show Girls" ever created! Those created for APW in New York City. Oh man so Lucky to have so many great people inspire and support me. 2009 was a great year. I hope 2010 is as good or better.

The gun fire is starting here on NYE in Los Angeles. My dog is so scared, poor baby.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Alice

Tools: This is a sketch inspired by my friend Alice. Her "Essential Tool" was the right to vote. She started out being a classic suffragette girl to a "suffragette girl with a Burka". Feel free to correct spelling of Burka if wrong.

Holiday Fun

I've done a mini series of three (twice) for the Holidays! One set for Cactus Gallery and one for The Hive.

This series is inspired by my mom and all moms including myself. The "Bless His Heart" was one that made me laugh. My mother was not a gossip and one of the kindest person you could have ever known. However those rare times when she shared a negative opinion about some one she would say afterwords, "Bless His Heart". I think she thought by saying that it absolved her of all evil and mostly the guilt of saying something not nice.... That brings me to another one (not shown). "Be Nice" this is something I seem to always throw out to my daughter as she leaves the house along with be careful. The third one is what a friend Ruth Harrell's mom used to say to her, "Wait 'till Your Father Gets Home. When Ruth posted that it just hit me like a brick, as I've heard this before too.

I hope you enjoy this sweet little series and most of all have a great Holiday!!!

Love and Peace

Snot Fire

Love my new lighter. My friend Mayra's son saw it and said, "Snot Fire". Too funny!!!

Last Month but Not the Last of MOnkeyhouse!!!!

After a long and wonderful run Monkeyhouse Toys in Silverlake will be closing it's doors at the end of the month. Due to landlord greed, Arg. Mayra has helped so many artists, children and charities at this location and has created an atmosphere of love and family. Among all of the sadness and disappointment of this closing. I am sure we haven't seen the last of Mayra, Monkeyhouse and her vision yet!!! So keep posted for the next adventure and chapter in this great Gallery!!!!
