Of History And Hope/Saturday April 5th
Hope to see you at Flower Pepper Gallery on Saturday. So happy I can ride my bike there!
10% of the proceeds from Of History and Hope will be donated to Lions, Tigers & Bears: A Large Cat & Exotic Animal Rescue located in San Diego County. Lions, Tigers & Bears' main objective is to provide a safe haven for the exotic animals they rescue, as well as to education the public about the growing population of abandoned and unwanted exotic animals and where they come from. Lions, Tigers & Bears' founder Bobbi Brink states that, "After witnessing the heart-breaking phenomenon known as the 'exotic animal trade' and seeing the victims of this business, I was compelled to do what I could to help these animals."

"Of History And Hope" features endangered, extinct, and exotic animal inspired works by over 50 artists. 10%
of the proceeds from "Of History And Hope" will be donated to Lions,
Tigers & Bears: A Big Cat & Exotic Animal Rescue.
On Saturday, April 5th, Flower Pepper Gallery is pleased to present Of History And Hope,
a collection of extinct, endangered, and exotic animal inspired works
as portrayed by over 50 diverse and talented artists. All of the works
that exist within this exhibition are created to inspire us to recognize
and respect the value in all living beings and in hopes that the human
race may become more conscious and considerate of the bond between
ourselves and the animal kingdom. The Magical Bond Between Man And
Beast, an article by Pat Shipman, states, "The human bond with animals
is mental, emotional, physiological, physical, and at least partly
genetic. People have evolved to live with animals; and in this ancient
connection lies the evolutionary roots of empathy, tolerance, and the
ability to understand another's perspective."
Each artist participating in this exhibition has been carefully selected, so that once woven together, the gallery will be transformed into an incredibly fantastic painted menagerie.
"I
love animals and nature. They are my inspiration. My works depict
dreamy and imaginative places full of animals and mysterious spirits. A
place where wild animals and I could feel safe and secure. There is
nothing more beautiful than when you actually see a wild animal in
nature. However, we rarely see them where they are supposed to be, and
just don't know how amazing they are to be alive."
- Of History And Hope artist: Kisung Koh
